Hey everyone,
For years, EMBA has been powered by an incredible community of volunteers—from those out on the trails building and maintaining, to those advocating for singletrack access in Edmonton. Our trail network wouldn’t exist without this dedication.
But we need help to build upon past successes and to take advantages of the opportunities that are coming with our Bike Skills Park and recognition of our access to trails through the Ribbon of Green.
We’re moving toward a more open, community-driven organization—one where every voice matters and leadership is shared. This means new committees, fresh perspectives, and more opportunities for people to get involved at all levels—from board roles to hands-on volunteer work.

We’ve set up dedicated committees to tackle EMBA’s biggest priorities:
🛠 Trail Adoption & Maintenance – Keep our trails in top shape! Work with the city, coordinate trail days, and support volunteer crews.
📢 Public & Business Advocacy – Help secure funding, sponsorships, and city support while working with bike shops, local businesses, and community partners to ensure singletrack trails remain a key part of Edmonton’s outdoor recreation network.
🦺 Safety & Training – Participate in and help develop better volunteer training, safety programs, and trail maintenance best practices.
📲 Communications & Media – Help with social media, website updates, newsletters, and storytelling to keep our community informed and engaged.
🌎 Environmental & Policy Advocacy – Ensure sustainability and conservation best practices while working with the city and conservation groups.
🎉 Events & Membership Engagement – Plan rides, social events, and volunteer appreciation activities to grow our community.
💻 IT & Technology – If you’re good with websites, Airtable, or data management, we need you to help us stay organized and efficient.

We know not everyone has time to join a committee. But even a few hours a month makes a huge difference. Here are some easy ways to help:

✔ Share your knowledge and help mentor new volunteers
